in Texas skies can get really gloomy and go on forever and ever in the flat places. at harvest, hay gets wrapped in green netting, which gives the Hay bales a greenish glow. there is mistletoe in the oak trees. It's the only green in the trees in winter.
This painting is my depiction of what it feels like to drive through this part of Texas in winter.
